Annual water statistics
Total water supplied, maximum daily demand, maximum monthly demand and desalination plant output are measured in megalitres (millions of litres, Ml). Annual rainfall is measured in mm (millimetres). Length of mains pipes is measured in km (kilometres). Connections and supplied dwellings are in thousands. Water quality compliance is expressed as percentages.
In 2019, figures are extrapolated for the whole year based on the period January - September. For the following years the reported annual figure is for the period September year prior to September current year. Note in particular that this means the annual rainfall stated from 2019 onwards does not match the annual rainfall recorded by Jersey Met for the calendar year.
