Long term illness and disability
The percentage of Jersey resident adults who describe themselves as having a long term illness or disability. In this instance, long-term is defined as having lasted or expecting to last 12 months or longer. Note: those in the table expressing 'yes a little' or 'yes a lot' are the percentages of those adults who have already expressed they have a long term illness, not the population as a whole.
This data is taken from the Jersey Opinion and Lifestyle Survey (JOLS), the survey of a representative sample of the Jersey adult population. Reports on the Jersey Opinions and Lifestyle Survey are available here.
The 2021 data was taken from the 2021 Census results, therefore this is data for Jersey's population as a whole rather than a representative sample. For more information see the third bulletin of 2021 Census results.
