Parental and Maternity Benefit Totals
Total number of Maternity Grant, Parental Allowance and Maternity Allowance claims and number of births recorded in each year since 2012.
Whilst processing the 2024 data, an error in previous values for the parental allowance was identified, resulting in an overstatement of the numbers. This has been corrected in the 2024 update of the dataset.
