Population and migration by sex, age group, ...
Total population and migration estimates for the period 2017 to 2023 by sex, 5-year age group, nationality and CHWL status (Entitled / Entitled for Work / Licensed / Registered). Nationality and CHWL data was not robust enough to produce estimates for people under 20 years old. As a result, these people have been grouped under the 'Under 20' category in nationality and CHWL status in this data set.
Note: Within this data set, counts less than 10 were suppressed. All remining counts were then rounded to the nearest ten. As a result, the independently rounded figures in this dataset may not sum to the population estimates published by Statistics Jersey in annual reporting.
There are categories in the sex (both sexes), age group (all ages), nationality (all nationalities), and residential status (all statuses) fields that are calculated by summing pre-rounded counts of all the other categories before suppressing and rounding. This allows for the summed totals to be obtained without introduction of rounding errors due summing independently rounded counts.
